Coffee Shop ;; Eunjung x OPEN
As much as Eunjung loved spending most of her time with Kyung or Jihoon, she did sometimes find herself needing a break from them. Generally when she needed to get away, she found solace in Cafe Vert coffee and one of her favourite books. Today the book was 1984 by George Orwell in English. The book was tucked away safely in her bag as she found her way in the front door. It was late morning on a Friday so there were only a small number of people in the shop. She enjoyed coming when it was slow because there was less chances of loud chatter and less chances of her managing to start some sort of trouble with someone.
She moved up to the counter and ordered her usual coffee before stepping to the side. Her eyes wandered around the shop aimlessly as a rather bored expression settled over the entirety of her face. She wasn’t the most patient person, so when the barista walked into the back instead of working on her coffee she could feel her temper exponentially rising. She clasped her hands together behind her back, fingers digging into the rough flesh of her hands as she kept herself in line. She had received several warnings lately that she needed to stop getting in trouble. She didn’t need to lose her scholarships, especially not now since her father had cut her off and she had next to no money. Jihoon had offered to pay for her schooling but that was one thing that she could not let him do for her -- it was far too large a sum for her to be comfortable with it.
Finally the barista came back and made her coffee before handing it over without much of a word. The warmth spread from the cup to her fingers and she clasped it gratefully with both hands. It wasn’t very warm that day and she had been feeling a bit chill up until that moment. Her annoyance was starting to slowly be replaced by a small sense of peace.
It didn’t last very long, however, as Eunjung turned right into someone that was easily much larger than she was. A yelp escaped her lips and coffee went flying, drenching the front of her and the stranger that she had run into. A groan escaped her lips and she stepped back, pulling her damp clothes away from her skin as the coffee had still been incredibly hot. “Ow, ow, ow, ow fuck!” She growled, clenching her teeth. It was all she could do to not lash out right then and there.
After a deep breath, she looked at him with incredibly angry eyes. “I.. I’m sorry, I should have looked where I was going,” She said between clenched teeth. So much for going somewhere to relax. It really just wasn’t her day.
