Michael never saw it coming. But then again, who did? He was pacing around his cabin, his breathing shallow, and the feeling of deja vu. Almost a month ago he was standing in the exact spot he was now, devastated, just like he was now. But he was there, Carter was there to at least attempt to make the blond feel better even if he was hurting himself. For not knowing each other that long, the two of them had been through so much and yet, not enough.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Mike wiped the back of his hand across his cheeks, not having realized he was crying. He needed to stay strong...except he wasn't strong and he knew that. The least he could do was keep himself together for Alexa, knowing how close she and the curly-haired boy had been. Michael walked into his bathroom and turned on the sink, splashing his face a couple times to get rid of the puffiness around his eyes, of course it didn't work that well. Sighing, he stepped back out into the living room to wait for Alexa, doing his best not to think about the disappearance of his brother-like best friend.
