it was a normal for bong ki to return home every few weeks or so. be it for a family event or a social one that required his presence. not that meant that the young scholar necessarily enjoyed his time back at his parent’s estate. due to the fact his father would be staring down with the disappointment that came with being of the yangban status. or his mother urging him to visit more social calls. he needed to find a wife apparently.
tonight was no different, his family was being visited by Royal Secretary Mun Taeyoon and his own family. of course - bong ki knew this was going to be different from the rather casual meeting he had with junhyuk a few weeks or so.
of course - his parents in bong ki being there for a matter of thirty minutes had managed to make the young scholar a bit annoyed. making him excuse himself before the dinner to practice his archery. so engrossed in his archery - bong ki was a bit dumbfounded and surprised when his a fly away arrow go out of range - the arrow landing in front of the entrance gate, where his family’s guests were at.
flustered - bong ki quickly bowed his head in greeting, picking up the arrow before noticing it was one of his childhood friends in front of him. “ ah, i’m sorry daeun-ah, were you startled ?”
