A Decent Cup of Coffee || Sveta & Travis
Colorful hair up and a sun dress on, Sveta headed down the stairs of her new home and out the door. Annapolis weather was similar to the weather in Los Angeles but nicer than the weather in Manchester which she enjoyed. She was on her way to the little coffee shop where she was positive she had left her phone the day before. In her few days of living in the town, she had managed to lose her phone and become a regular at said place. Sveta had her music plugged in and was humming it ever so lightly. She sang along to the song as she shut her door, making sure she locked it. She had developed a habit of always locking her door while living in LA. Mainly due to the fact that her apartment wasn't in the nicest of areas in the city.
The girl walked down her front steps and started east towards the coffee shop. She double checked that she had her wallet with her in order to identify herself in case she needed to when looking for her phone. She smiled as she felt it in the pocket in her bag. Off she went, a light jump in her step. Sveta got lost in her music on the way to the shop, barely paying attention to her surroundings. She hummed along to each and every song as she finally saw the familiar coffee shop in the distance. She smiled and ran across the road as she saw the cross sign counting down before it allowed cars to pass yet again. She made it to the other side just as the light turned green. Sveta started walking again, catching her breath and mentally making note to start working out. She laughed quietly to herself as she opened the door to the shop and walked up to the counter.
"Hello, I seem to have lost my phone and I think I lost it while here yesterday." Sveta gave a friendly grin and sweet tone to the barista that she was talking with. They struck up a conversation about the phone, Sveta told her all about it. Next thing she knew the barista handed her the object.
"Thank you so, so, so much." She shook the girls hand and laughed, "If you wouldn't mind, I think I'm also going to order a coffee while here." She looked up at the menu, glancing at all her options, so far in her ventures here she had tried something new every day so she decided to do the same thing again. "I think I'll have a large mocha iced coffee, please." The barista smiled and took her money, telling her it was coming right up. She handed her the change and Sveta walked to the waiting area. The barista made her coffee quickly, considering they didn't have many people in the shop at that moment.
Sveta strolled over to a small table and chair set by the window, and set her phone on the table. She started to sip on her coffee and go through her phone. She heard the bell on the door ring and she glanced up to see a young man walking in. She thought nothing of it and directed her attention back to her phone. Sveta started to realize more and more in that moment how lonely she was. She was sitting in a coffee shop by herself while most everyone else was with someone. She sighed and took another sip of the cold beverage.
