It was a day like no other, the murderous sun shined through the window curtains of Soo’s bedroom. Filling every crevice and corner even with the tiniest bit of sunshine. In ancient times the Vampires were only allowed to walk the streets at night, because the sun burned every inch of skin off, however the most dreadful part of all…Is that the instant a vampire is injured, whether it be stabbed, shot, or in this case burned. The wound would immediately heal. The sun played a similar roll to hell to us vampires. If Kyungsoo had never gotten his ring from an old witch friend, the humans would’ve been able to take advantage of them using the sunlight. It had been almost 4 years since he had been turned into a cold hearted, blood sucking demon. 4 years since he’s been “dead” only his father believes that to be true. His mother died during his years in high school, and was blamed for her death by his father. In a way, I guess you could say Soo was relieved to be rid of that household, but somewhere deep beneath his soulless body, and unbeating heart was a bit of his humanity still latching to him. That bit of humanity wished he was still a living person, living with his dad and many of his old High school friends. Sadly, the immortal decided on his own to forget those that were once close to him, being the close friends he once had but perhaps they believe that he is still buried in his grave too.
The vampire laid awake on the bed, as he always did every night considering that his kind never sleeps. He arose from the softness which eventually grew to stiffness after laying there night after night with his eyes wide open. Within a blink of an eye Soo was already dressed, shaved and properly cleaned up for the day. Stepping out of his apartment, he took out a cigarette from the very few that are left and held it between his pair as he gazed around the early morning of Korea. He had seen the very same people walk the same streets this early morning, same turns and waves or unnoticeable acts of walking by with their heads focused on the floor. However there was a male Soo had never seen before. A male wearing a military uniform, taller than him and crossing the streets to reach Kyungsoo’s side. Of course the immortal didn’t think too much of it, perhaps there was a new person moving into the apartment complex. Either way Kyungsoo turned a blind eye and lit the end of his cigarette as he took in a mouthful of tobacco. Funny for him, the military man seemed a bit too surprised as well and found himself staring straight into Soo’s direction, stopping dead in his tracks. Almost as if he recognized him, although the vampire had a keen sense he was flipping through his memories, trying to put his finger on the other’s pale white yet clean visage. Alas, the demon finally gave up on this guessing game. It just couldn’t register in his mind,–had he seen this boy before? “Kyungsoo? Do Kyungsoo?” The other male finally spoke and it left Kyungsoo a bit shaken up, eyes widening whilst letting out a puff of smoke. How did someone know his name? Actually the real question is, how could someone know his name without him knowing theirs? His nose scrunched in disbelief, disappointed in his lack of sharpness. “I don’t know who you’re talking about. How could I know some military brat like you?” He scoffed turning away with folded arms, expecting him to simply walk away.
