Lucid sleep-deprived dreaming
Waves of wanting washing
Deftly in and out of focus
Mouth dry and head spinning
Walking for hours in the cold
Laying awake next to you
Breathing sleep
High finance meets low rent
And all this time spent with you will never feel like waste
The taste of swirls dancing on the ceiling
Out weighs bitter tongues and heavy guts
But the weight of you stays with me
Through time laps blinking
Until the sun comes up over the city
Crystal blues morph
Back and forwards and the pause,
Perfectly still
Still hearts push blood, but can not comprehend how much love
Pours out on to the ground
Sticky feet sinking into soiled carpet
Leaving steam on tile floors
More time won’t be enough
Eating paper to transport and transpose
Us into alternate planes that can not link up so we will never be on the same level
All of time should have stopped,
But now it is tomorrow.
