050613 Jongdae & Junhee [The Ex-Number]
Never had she dared to imagine that one impending phone call had been conspiring discreetly to make trouble beneath her notice.
It was something the brunette could have not foreseen. How could she, when it was in a sense an event that would be both surprising and shocking to both recipients? Of course, any of these would be discovered much, much later. And so a little thrill rush that is comparable to an unfamiliar roller-coaster ride ensued.
A plain day, adorned by the morning mist which was accompanied by the subtle sunrise. There was hardly any of it left as it was already getting too bright for it, but that ancient beauty remained, nevertheless. The young brunette chuckled, adoring the sight ever so wistfully. Similar to the lucent stars, she believes that there is a certain unyielding quality to things such as the sunrise and sunset. Her eyes, they blinked considerably sleepily due to lack of rest as of late. She supposed, with a diminutive smile, that she could return to her loft bed and take a nap.
It was a nice weekend, after all. Why not?
That was the whole point. There was nothing to disprove. By chance, her classes for the day had been cancelled and so, she decided to heed her initial self-suggestion. Her feet found themselves in the bedroom quarters, and her stocking-ed foot was already on the first step of the loft bed when the frosh’s ears caught hold of the slight ringing sound. She sighed, but went obediently to take it. Junhee never got texts very often, especially calls, so she figured that it was considerably important.
She stared blankly at the number, which remained unnamed which immensely astonished her. The brunette thought that she had saved everyone’s number on her cellphone in spite of absence of familiarity. So she picked it up without a second thought. “Good morning,” was what she uttered rather gingerly. “May I help you…?” The girl who sat on the couch in her dormitory had never expected to hear such words in the next few seconds. Would it have been too dramatic to describe that it burned into her memory forever?
