[Also, by paradeon, I don’t mean just as romance. I myself ain’t a big shipper. I mean any dynamic of them (although I do suggest some shipping in my fic, but it’s mostly one-sided from Eon and a mix of admiration and envy + fatherless behavior. iykyk)]

ANYWAY. Eon is not only kinda important to the Omniverse’s existence (he was one of the leaders at the BenvBen, despite being betrayed later), but also serves as an antitheses to Paradox due to his chaotic way of messing with the cosmos (they’d be great foils if the writers cared more abt Eon tbh)

Therefore, this supposed equilibrium due to Eon’s existence stops Paradox from killing him. However, I don’t think Eon is aware that THIS is his role in the Omniverse and that his seek for conquest is fruitless. If he does, he hates it and keeps trying to prove himself better than just this force of nature (which’s pretty powerful on its own but Eon’s too stubborn to accept only that). Paradox prefers it this way, to keep Eon in line

That said, things get really awkward. Personally, I don’t thinking they’re always fighting (at least, not physically), so there may be moments when they just…. see each other. Without the usual tension, Paradox is polite, even kind sometimes, but Eon hates it. He sees it as manipulation, as a way to pacifically stop him from his objectives. Sometimes, in those talks, Paradox brings up Eon’s past and his former universe. All that coated with a gentle caress on the shoulder or multiversal stargazing. The contrast in the gestures makes Eon confused and angry. Then he flees and seeks chaos again until Paradox defeats him, and the cycle repeats itself.

In the end of the day, Eon is like a monster Paradox isn’t afraid of: it causes fear and destruction, but doesn’t directly affects him. And The Professor wishes to keep the cycle going fully, so he won’t do anything to disrupt it. But Paradox’s actions affect Eon more than he wants to admit. To Eon, Paradox is both a goal of power and attention. His envy to the other Bens isn’t solely due to them being perfectly functional, with their own universes: he knows the way Paradox sees him is different from the way he sees the other Bens. It fueos him with a rage only destruction and assimilation can cure
