18/4 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWINNY! 

@ddkinzart​ / @paradoxii​ : This was kind of based on a scene in Ouran Academy Host Club, when the twins played a “Which one is Hikaru?” game. In this case, it’s “Which one is Dana?” uwu. Gave us an outfit switch bc it’s cute and why not. 

I’m in slight awe that’s it’s been 5 years since we started talking. I actually remember us first talking around this time of year, bc about a week or so after we did your birthday came around and I drew Rosa for the first time as a gift. 5 years of friendship is a long time but when I say it out loud it feels so little. You are someone I feel like I’ve known all my life. I can’t really imagine not having my twin around. In 5 years you’ve become one of the most important people in my life. 

To even say friendship is weird too, you’ve become more of a sister to me. And I know I say that a lot but I hope you know just what that means. How much talking to you puts me to ease. How much I trust you with anything. How much I admire and look up to you. And how much I care about you love you. You’ve helped me overcome a lot, helped me grow, you’ve given me great memories, given me lots of smiles. You stuck by my side through so much and I will never be able to express how much I needed a person like that. 

I’m so grateful that we met five years ago, and that we continue to be friends throughout that time. I hope you will be my twinny forever. On this special day I’m sending you so much love. And forever wishing you the best. Happy birthday twinny! Thank you for being born

I’m kinda eh with this one because they’re completely separate crews altogether and not one and the same. How they handle females wouldn’t mirror each other.

Looking into facts though, Rosa’s there so yes they do have the exception of one :’) Gonna trail off a bit here now though because I wanna argue against the belief most fans have here, and that’s, just because it’s stated there are no female fighters on board, that doesn’t mean you can completely shut down the notion of female WBP ocs capable of kicking serious ass. I mean looking at Rosa’s backstory as an example (literal perfection), the idea isn’t in the least impossible. I feel that so long as it’s well crafted and went about the right way like Rosa, slipping through canon cracks isn’t too far fetched.

Anywhoo, I mentioned the crews aren’t one and the same so lemme ramble some more to touch on that.

Oda explicitly stated WB has no female fighters and has his own strict morals about keeping women out of the battlefield. They do happen to have a medical team full of female nurses that regularly tend to his health, but of course WB doesn’t consider them as fighters and insists men should be the ones to handle the dirty work because he’s old fashioned like that. He even went so far as keep the women in a safe place before their battle in Marineford.

Ace is a different type of leader in that regard despite their similar charitable nature and making a home for a variety of characters / creatures on board their ship. Unlike WB, he doesn’t have the room to think twice about gender when accepting shipmates as he believes any type of skill, talent or even the weirdest quirk or hobby can have their benefits.

Although still in a way that differs from WB, Ace can be protective of women, just as he would be of children. I’m not saying that he treats woman as inferior in any way, no, he was raised by the toughest female bandit around so he knows very well what they’re capable of. He holds much faith in his female comrades, and unlike WB, gives them the freedom to fight alongside himself and the guys. He has a habit of looking out for them however as he’d be on edge unless their safety is ensured. Blame it on his protective streak, but just like his inability to tuck tail from a fight when needing to protect someone, It’s in his blood. As a man and captain, he has a natural instinct to prioritize and protect them. That’s just the way he’s wired, or at least that’s how I see him.

Okay, I was a bit afraid of not being able to make it today, but gladly I could! I wish I could make it better, but I think the result was cuter than I initially thought! I love our bbies so much, I love to imagine them hanging out and just having some fun!

You know that I told you, over and over, how IMPORTANT you became to me? How much you made me smile, sometimes when I was REALLY needing a reason to breath, you brought this fresh air and was able to make me smile once again. You inspire me in so many ways, you’re one who makes me want to try harder and become a better person. Do you know how much is this? How much I love you and how of a dear friend you are? Thank you for always being there, for being so kind and soft; the world NEEDS more softness.
