i’ve just had the realization that a big reason i can look at some fics and lots of books and just immediately shut down to the idea of reading them is the justified alignment.
i can not stand it, it scrambles my brain. it’s like, then all of the lines end in the same place there’s nothing to hold on to. i want to say it feels like rock climbing with the right side of the paragraph but that feels too on the nose.
i think a lot of it is because of the fact that i skim read, which i could talk about the reasoning behind for days, but that’s not the point.
the point is i hate justified spacing. it’s not only annoying how the lines end together, but also how the words get really weirdly spaced when lines don’t fit right. i remember seeing that a lot in harry potter or something as a kid and getting super upset.
does anyone get this? is the justified alignment hate valid?
