Artfight revenge for @paranoidkid of their character Froghop!
oh! are all of felix&co the same “breed” of cat IW? I just thought about this since Saga’s wars look different in the new ref :O!
i’ve kind of foregone making them the same breed or even focusing on a specific cat breed for felix. trying to focus on not making every alter look like a recolor of their body. saga in particular is inherently a different breed bc sphynx cats are a specific breed of cat and saga is one. EDIT: oh i realize now that wars means ears in this case. they are bigger because felix’s redesign made them bigger on the body, and the base is wrinkly because there were only a few places to put wrinkles on saga, even though sphynx cats are very wrinkly. apparently a lot of people did not realize saga is hairless besides the mane, but, yeah, they are, so those are wrinkles.

oh SHIThhhmmmmmmm, mayyybeeeea stuffed animal head that’s somewhere between a puppy and a rabbit, with the limp floppy earsyou’re patchwork with pastel colors and patternsand your stitches are coming loose in places, and your button eyes pop off every once in a while, and you have to stitch em upand sometimes you loose the buttons and you gotta replace it and you get shiny new button eyeslol tho I dunno if this counts as an object head as much as a weird stuffed animal furry
cause I’m curious: what do you consider to be “having fun” while drawing? A lot of artists I know say art is a fun and relaxing thing for them (I say that sometimes) but a BUNCH of other people I know who like doing art say it’s horrible and are only satisfied with the outcome of the process. Your art always comes out with so much represented in it, but do you consider the process of art fun?
i do consider the process of art fun -- in fact, i’ve told people that if you they don’t consider art inherently fun to make, they probably shouldn’t consider it for a career, because every other aspect can quickly become a soul-sucking slog. personally, i consider asking “what if” the fun part of art. if it’s novel or challenging to draw, then i get to ask myself a lot of “what if” questions to make choices. i can draw something and feel as though i would want to change nothing, but WHAT IF I DREW THE SAME THING in a different way? what if the perspective was different, what if the smile was more forced, what if the lighting was soft or blue instead, etc. i tend to value visual consistency less, which some artists are VERY big about, but i’m not planning on reconsidering my stance, really, because i’ve learned that if you are drawing to be able to show someone something that’s perfect, you are going to run out of things to draw and ways to impress eventually.
i see one (1) max post then immediately have to scroll through the max blog.
