Vampire!Headcanons for Paranormal AU
Depending on heritage/who turned them/status as a human, vampires will have different abilities and limitations. What hurts one vampire won’t necessarily hurt another.
James-
·turned after attempting suicide, by a vampire who wanted him as her mate. When he woke and realised not only is he alive, but alive forever, he killed her in a fit of anger.
· Because of his skin tone, the sun isn’t as harmful to him.
· he must be invited in. He can be uninvited.
·he can induce Fight or Flight in his victims through eye contact, when choosing to do so. (It makes feeding more fun for him. He likes to play with his food.)
·his habits and rituals as a human carried over into his vampire life: perfectionism to the point of being obsessive is a plague on his existence.
·he is neither on the side of the vampires nor the side of the hunters. He does business with both. He is on his own side.
·don’t trust him. He can turn on a dime when his animal instincts kick in.
·he is more animal than human
·cannot walk on holy ground.
·he cannot cross running water.
·he becomes vulnerable when feeding. All of his focus is on the food and not his surroundings. (You could walk up to him as hes having a snack and he wouldn’t realize until he felt the gun on the back of his head.)
That’s where Tori comes in.
Victoria-
·turned by James to cure his loneliness and be look out when he feeds
·her lighter skin means the sun can harm her.
·she can turn into a bat
·Garlic is a no no.
·she has more stability and control over herself compared to James, even though she was turned much later. She was mentally strong as a human.
·she is neither on the side of the vampires nor the side of the hunters. She does business with both. She is on her own side.
·she is more trustworthy than her male partner.
·she is more human than animal
·she’s rather optimistic
·she is able to form friendships and bonds unlike James who can only tolerate others.
·walking on holy ground causes discomfort.
-Both can be distracted by the need to count things. If its not brought up they are usually pretty good but if you mention it or put an abundance of objects in front of them, their focus will no longer be on you no matter how hard they try.
-Both can die by a stake to the heart and then body tossed into the fire. It must be both. Just a heart stabbing won’t do it. Just fire won’t do it.
-Neither have reflections
-Holy Water can harm them both
