Old always just seemed to jump in front of him and protect him, and it’s probably stupid for Meikai to worry about that, after all, that was pretty much the others function. He was his familiar after all, he was supposed to protect him and jump in front of him. But Meikai couldn’t help the feeling of wanting to be the one to protect him.
He didn’t want to just be a little defenseless child. He could protect himself. He sighed a little, watching Old talk in his defense. Some of the residents weren’t in his favour, as they hadn’t been in the sea kings. And in their eyes, Meikai was pretty much just Aous messenger. But he didn’t have much courage to speak up for himself.
