@parasitiiic ❤ for a starter
They say a hero’s work is never done and, though Zer0 would never call themself a hero (that was for others, a term they used for the assassin regardless of their preference), it would seem the saying was true enough. Every time they thought they were safe, every time they thought they’d handled the current threat, another took it’s place, stepped up to fill the Void left behind. It was as though Pandora invited conflict, reveled in it.
Zer0 wouldn’t put it past the damn planet.
Now they were sitting as still as possible, hidden under a Decepti0n, watching the displays tick down the time they could safely remain in it without the device overheating. He was still too close, stalking around, paying too much attention. Zer0 didn’t like their chances of taking the man in a one-on-one fight, mostly because he had backup readily available in the bandits he commanded and that Siren.
They resisted the urge to curse, remaining perfectly still and silent while they tried to come up with a good escape plan that was better then just ‘run as fast as they possibly could’.
