parasthesia
Feels like the air is being stolen from me, atom by atom.
An antagonizing slow-burn of a death,
Silent screams beneath the skin.
I’m a frozen corpse in the sunlight.
-Tilly
Pressure on a nerve is a cause for paresthesia. Other factors that may cause chronic paresthesia are an incident or injury that has damaged the nerves, occurrence of a stroke or mini-stroke, neuropathy and a pinched nerve which is caused by an injury or excessive use.
I haven't been posting but I can't sleep.
I've been getting this strange tingling sensation that blooms and spreads only on parts of my body and if I look at my skin, I'll have blotches of goosebumps there. It started on my left arm. Then began happening on the left side of my face and jaw and spreading down to my left arm. Lately, it's happening on my right arm. And just now, it keeps blooming on my right thigh. And today is probably the most constant it's been occurring. It originally happened once and then didnt happen for a couple weeks. Now it's happening multiple times an hour, all day.
Sometimes my face will feel fuzzy and tingling, almost like if you'd hover your hand over an old box TV screen. That weird static feeling. My hands get it too. It'll stay like that for hours.
I've been feeling extra tired and nauseous lately and whenever I'm out and about it gets worse and I start getting dizzy if I'm looking around too much.
Last night I was watching a movie before bed, and my eyes started moving back and forth really quickly? And if I close my eyes, and touch my eyelids, I can feel them moving back and forth completely involuntarily. My eye doctor had cleared me besides saying I had WWOP in my right eye now, but I hadnt noticed this happening when I saw her.
I feel like I'm going nuts. I have to call my neuro. I have this pretty strong urge to be like "I think I have MS" but I dont want to be a hypochondriac.
I just dont know if this is all migraine stuff?? I'm not even getting bad headaches, its more like bad pressure in my neck/base of my skull that makes me feel absolutely disgusting. I'm just really nervous.
peripheral vision: there's a bug over there by your foot
foot: there is a bug ON your foot
central vision: nope, no bug
hand: definitely no bug, just a foot
foot: THERE IS DEFINITELY A BUG
me: blocked, reported,
Noooo my foot fell asleep, I fucking hate this feeling - especially when I have crap to do :(
painful tooth rant.
this hurts so fucking bad. why the fuck did i choose now to get my wisdom teeth out. oh wait its because everyone i fucking talked to said that it would be ok and that I would feel better in like 5 days. WELL its day 5 right now and the pain is exactly the same as day 1 and I cant fucking feel my lip and my teeth and it hurts so bad and feel like my teeth are being hammered together. also the sockets look fucking disgusting. obviously bc i cant put my toothbrush around them to brush them and its grossing me out thinking about how much disgusting shit is in my mouth. my follow up appointment isn't until friday and i have to fucking start grad school in 3 days. fuck this. also it hurts when i talk and now i cant make myself talk loudly bc it hurts so now im going to be even more fucking quiet then usual FUCKKKKKK. also i dont want to just "get used to" having this fucking tingling painful feeling in my lip and chin and teeth forever. it feels like the bottom of my mouth is perminantly set on fire and my teeth feel too tight like the feeling when they tighten your braces and turn that key in your mouth. but oh wait theres no fucking cure for parasthesia except having another surgery to *maybe* fix the nerves, and i have to wait for 6 months until i can even have that consult with the neurologist LOL. this is so unfair, im crying. also i'm going to run out of pain meds today so thats fucking fantastic.
so I have parasthesia throughout my entire mandibular area caused by nerve damage after getting my wisdom teeth out, which the dr said that there was going to be a 2% chance of and of course it had to fucking happen. So I can't feel anything in my lip, chin, and bottom row of teeth, it feels really like i was injected with novocaine, and its just really fucking annoying and uncomfortable. My entire bottom row of teeth feels like they are being pushed together and like they are too close. My bottom lip feels like a strange foreign object. Tbh I could probably put a knife through my lip/chin and not feel anything. This is the 4th day after surgery and no improvement what so ever. Apparently it will take 3 to 6 months for any improvement to happen, and there is a chance that it will never get better. this sucks.
