Trust Me || Ramsey's
Spike has a really important charity event to deejay Friday night and he's asked me along....in Raleigh...overnight...hotel...
Had all gone over almost exactly as Isla knew to expect it to go over. Her parents interest had seemed to be peaked and they had seemed delighted for the male up until the and had hit the air. It'd been a sharp incline downhill from that word forth. Apparently, Isla was insane if she thought they'd allow her to go gallivanting all over creation with her boyfriend, especially out of town and for an overnight stay together in a hotel. She was also half out of her mind for instantly rejecting their alternative offer of one of them accompanying the duo and driving them both back that same night.
"I'm not a kid anymore, in case you've forgotten how many years I've been strolling around hre, let me refresh. It's been eighteen." Maybe snark wasn't going to help her case very much but sometimes she just grew a little tired of being treated like a child. Something that only seemed to happen where her relationship with Spike was concerned. Hell, before they had started dating, Isla had been allowed to practically stay out past curfew for however late she pleased just as long as she called home to check in every so often and now she was lucky if she even made it to curfew without pissing them off for being out at night with him. Didn't seem to be like too much of an issue if they knew she was with him and a group or people without him but she wasn't going to throw that in their faces, she was going to be as mature as possible..minus the earlier snark.
......And the foot stomp when the old handy ''while living under our roof'' argument came into play. ''When have I ever given you reason not to trust me? Same for Spike? He always has me home on time, if not early, he's respectful when here..." The list could have gone on but Isla had only given up with a toss of her hand when her father had cut in that that wasn't the point. "Nothing will be the point unless it agrees with your standing view." Isla mumbled under her breath, her arms folding over her chest. "I don't see why you can't just trust us, trust me." Oh, the lovely, 'we trust you, but not the situation and scenery that will be influencing you if you go' angle, how fun. "You mean the whole hotel room with my boyfriend away from your eys, situation and scenery?" A scoff passed from Isla over to her parents, one of the rudest things she'd probably done in a very long time towards them. "I'm actually really hurt that you feel like you can't trust me."
Oh, that was a good one, Isla. The half guilt card. Which was quickly half rebutted by rapid assurances that they did trust her but....."No buts. Because whatever that is going to follow it will make me angry because you'll be implying that you don't trust my boyfriend and I don't want to hear one bad assumption made against him. In case you haven't realized, he's one of the best things about this shitty town anymore. And if at the age of eighteen, I want to accompany my boyfriend of almost a damned year on a very important gig that's super crucial to his future with his side music, I'm going to go. I'm going to go to the event, I'm going to be proud of him and then we're going to go grab late night food and head back to the hotel room, probably order a movie and then fall asleep after eating. Because that's who we are and what we do. We're not going to run off out of town to hook up without mommy and daddy around because that's not who we are. There, here, anywhere else. And if you don't believe you can trust me and that I wouldn't be honest, just realize I could have told you I was staying at a friend's house for the night and you probably never would have known otherwise. But I felt like I could be truthful and that I could be trusted to know how to act. And you know something else?" Her voice was starting to rise but she didn't care. "Even if him and I were having sex, which is something him and I have never done if you want your worries smoothed out, what would it matter? He's a great guy, he loves me...and that's all that should matter to you. Not if he's some hoodlum trying to sneak me out of town to get his dick we--"
Honestly, thank god for Ana appearing out of nowhere and covering her mouth or she probably would have never gotten the chance to simmer those few precious seconds and later somehow, like a magician, pull a rabbit out of a hat and hear the words she'd been fighting to hear....
Don't make us regret this.
The Start of Something New ∞ Blainiel
Everything was said and done. Daniel was officially a married man. His talk with Blaine yesterday had been on his mind the whole day and was the cause of his hesitation every time someone asked if he was excited. He wasn't marrying the man he wanted to marry, who could he be honest with and say that too? No one. No one would understand him because Blaine was his brother but yet he was so completely in love with him. He couldn't look at him when he walked down that aisle, as bad as he wanted to, he couldn't because he'd give in. He'd call this whole thing off and god, he just couldn't put Stephen through that humiliation. He was so torn and completely broken but he did it. He went through with it and it made him smile every time when he looked at Stephen and saw that smile plastered on his face, like Daniel was his one and only and how much he wished he felt the same way.
The reception took place at a big fancy hall, one that was perfect and had Stephen insisting because Daniel deserved the best and he didn't argue. After some time, everyone came up and congratulated him and Stephen and he was fine until Blaine walked up to them, congratulating them and to anyone who didn't know Blaine, he looked fine but Daniel knew him. God, Daniel knew him and he could see how hard this was for him. The look on his brother's face squeezed at his heart, he wanted to kiss him again and so much more. He wanted him in every way possible and now that he knew they weren't together right now because both thought the other didn't want them when that obviously wasn't the case here, he wanted him so bad. He tried to smile when Blaine congratulated him but he couldn't. He couldn't even look him in the eye but he watched his back as he walked away until he wasn't in sight anymore, getting mixed up and lost in the crowd.
More time passed and Daniel was struggling to hold himself together, he just needed to cry it out, he'll be fine. This was the start of something new, the start of a new life with someone who loved him. "Baby, I'll be back, I-I just need a little time alone" Those were the wrong words to say to his newly wed husband, obviously because the look on Stephen's face turned to worry in a heartbeat. "Is everything okay?" Daniel put on his best smile and nodded his head, "Everything is perfect, I just need to take a breather, you know how I am with big crowds of people. I'll be fine, alright? Promise, everything is fine and I'm happy but I just need to go bask in the glow of my first evening being a married man and then I'm all yours." Stephen smiled at that and Daniel gave himself a mental high five for sounding so.. convincing. He pulled Stephen down for a kiss before smiling again, "I'll be back, I love you." And then he was off.
Daniel wondered up the ginormous spiral staircase for a while until he walked through some double doors, opening them and gasping quietly when he caught sight of the huge balcony that was before him. The room looked almost like a big study room. Book shelves, some couches and he wondered what else was hidden in this place. He took a step inside of the room and his breath caught in his throat when he caught site of Blaine standing off to the side on the balcony and he swallowed hard. His back was facing him but he could recognize the love of his life from any angle. Being alone with him was probably the worst thing he could do right now but he couldn't help it, Blaine was so close and no one was around, they were two stories up from reception going on below them and there were so many rooms in this place, no one would find them. He stepped inside, closing the doors quietly and biting his lip when he locked the door before his legs were leading him to Blaine almost beyond his control.
He didn't say a word, he just stepped up quietly, taking his place beside Blaine, eyes on the view just outside the balcony.
"It's a nice night." He spoke up, finally after a few moments of silence. "I thought you left."
