Some of you were interested in translucent polymer clay so I thought I’d dig out my Pardo clay. It’s very hard to condition but the results are beautiful, @thebluebottletree has lots of tips on her website. These are raw baked clay, the gills are just impressions on the insides you can see through too. They’ll look much clearer when glazed too! It’s risky business but I discovered that blasting the clay for a brief second with a heat gun will soften it in a flash, and more will start to cook it. Otherwise it’s so crumbly and not worth working with for me. It’s a little hard to find but if you’re interested in these sort of effects it’s fun to try.
