oh that’s cool bc book 2 is kinda bad (imo) but books 3 and 4 are much better (again, imo). I hope I wasn’t part of the reason you were spoiled? I didn’t think about tagging spoilers…sorry, I’ll do that now. sooo… what do you think of it so far?
I just finished book 2 and I found it kind of messy but really interesting, especially regarding Korra's and Tenzin's identity crises - it's funny that both Aang and Zuko had roles that loomed over them too but never entirely shaped them in quite the same way.
Nah, tumblr wasn't even the first to spoil me - a bunch of people posted links to articles on facebook, and then the tumblr posts sprouted up. (Also I find it ironic that spirits got released in the age of rising technology, and by an avatar for whom spiritual connection was not instinctual)
yesssss you should catch up on lok whenever you can, it is so good at least the korrasamj is, i'm still not over it myself tbh. what part are you at so far if you don't mind me asking?
Oooh, I’ve just finished the eighth episode of season 2, I still have a ways to go yet. Just started catching up on it since I'm back home for winter break and can watch it with the siblings.
Helena. and Emily
I love that you know you don't have to specify the fandom, XD.
Helena: I too have eaten a chicken leg off a tray while recovering in bed. Granted, I was recovering from a fever and not a bullet wound.
Emily: oh man, you know that scene in the pilot where Pam makes some random judgy comment about the pink stripe in Aria's hair, and once she's out of earshot Emily resentfully says that line about getting out of Rosewood? I'm pretty sure I became an instant fan of Emily right then, because I have lived that scene way too many times - a parent saying "what will people think??" and me internally thinking "some of us don't give a flying fuck"

yeah fandom can ruin everything esp wrt to issues like this (jfc she is a RAPIST and ppl are acting like she's just ~edgy; it's so gross ugh) but so can actors/writers which is why I try to avoid them both at all costs but, easier said than done.
(besides I get a masochistic sort of thrill from getting so pissed off at all those gross fans and actors. it's stressful and unproductive but it can't be helped.) and yes - sarah manning, man. I've been looking for her my whole life tbh
yeah, I'm really glad I've managed to avoid most of that on my dash, thankfully.

This is so, so awesome, omg, I love everything about it. (and you should totally write fic, AU or not, just generally, you know, bc that'd be awesome, idk.)
I'm glad you enjoyed it, =D, and that kind of made me want to look up a bunch of pirate au fics myself, heh.

what on earth are you getting yourself into
I don't know, but bless the pll wiki for having most of the flashbacks there. (and I'm mostly just organizing events in chronological order within years, I'm not even going to try figuring out exact months for most of them)
