A few years back I had this cheap paper fan with the phrase 頑張れ私！("Ganbare Watashi" - Keep going, me!) printed on it.

I could really use that fan right now. It was oddly motivating.

It's just been a lot these past few weeks, you know? I am not a person who copes well with unexpected problems. But I will make it through!

I made an appointment at the counseling center last week, but they didn't have any openings for another month orz

So helpful eventually, maybe? I'm sure I'll be glad of it when finals roll around, but I wish they'd had something sooner.

I'm also changing up one of my medications next month - I think the one I'm on has been having bad mood side effects, and so I'm hopeful that will help a bit too.

I don’t TA but I know that feel and yes, maybe change something up, it shouldn’t be messing with your prime directive, which is your own work. <3 Hope it starts looking up soon, friend!

I can't even get excited about my prospectus right now D:

There is so much to be excited about in my prospectus! I want to be very excited! But instead I just feel blaaah.

I'm sure I'll be fine in a bit, I just have to drag myself through this negative spell a little longer without falling horrible behind on everything. Because falling horribly behind makes the stress so so much worse.

YAY! I'm so glad your Dr was on board with starting you right away! I'd pick a day where you can celebrate properly afterword. Like, if it's nice enough go on a long walk or go out to eat or something.

Thanks for all the nice replies on my post about seeing the doctor, everybody!! And yeah, B, you have the right idea! I'm going on Friday after work, and then I'm gonna come home and Ari and I are gonna celebrate somehow! Dinner out, maybe? COUPLES MASSAGE?? (I could really use a massage, man. All this stress in my shoulders, uffda.)
