kendra's son parker doesn't shift until he's about thirteen, when collective hunters try to take him and kendra nearly dies stopping them. he shifts, kills the hunters and then almost bites kendra when she tried to calm him down. she's wounded pretty badly in the aftermath of that fight.

i joke a lot, and so does kendra, about how she has no maternal instincts and probably shouldn't be a mother, but in reality she's just being an asshole. she actually is a good mom, and if anyone so much as looks at parker wrong, she'll kill them. no hesitation. touch her boy and perish.
