「☁」—» When in an unfamiliar place, there were several things one could do. Explore, try to find a place to stay, mingle with the inhabitants, or even try to cause some trouble. But Karasuma, never one for conflict or participating in anything he didn’t absolutely have to, found most of these options less than appealing. What he did know was that he was confused, and tired, and he wanted to go home. Wherever this place was, and for whatever reason he was here, he wasn’t interested. A heavy feeling was infusing itself in the birdman’s bones, making him want to just sit down and wail out how frustrating this was, when a certain scent made him turn his head. It was warm and buttery, and it made his stomach growl with more than hunger. Dark eyes immediately set to searching, and within a few moments, Karasuma had found the source of the scent. A stand selling some sort of... fried bread(?) drenched in melted butter and powdery sugar. Really, it looked like heaven, and it was just what he needed.
A few minutes later, Karasuma had spent almost all of the little money he’d arrived with, and had a hot, steamy, melty... thing in hand. It was almost enough to lift his spirits, and he lifted it closer to his face, ready to take a bite... when something in the corner of his eye caught his attention. The teenager turned, a half-questioning, half-irritated look on his face as his caught sight of the distraction... Another boy, at least several years older than Karasuma himself, looking his way.
❝ If you want one of these, they’re selling them over there. ❞ If that’s even what the other wanted.

“Hey! Stop the train!”
She yelled out, as she ran to the station, hoping to not miss her mode of transportation. She had no desire to wait a long period of time for the next one. Public transportation sucks and she had nothing to keep her busy to pass the time. Man did she miss her vampiric agility.

Asha was still about 99 percent sure that everything she had experienced in the past several hours -- the room with the scientist, walking out onto an unfamiliar street, suddenly deciding she was no longer in Chicago -- was the result of ingesting the peyote her brother kept in the back of the cupboard. The trip didn’t show any signs of letting up though, so she played along. It’d probably make for good material later on anyway.
Eventually, she found where she was supposed to be living for the duration of this alleged experiment. It certainly wasn’t home, but at least it gave her a place to fall. Apparently, it even came with roommates.
She looked to the young man and smiled politely, taking her hands out of her coat pockets. Even the room was a lot to take in after such a barrage of unexpected events.
“Do you live here too?” she asked.
