She sat there. She sat and observed, taking in the atmosphere. An event that has been lost from time and devolved into one that is over dramatized at best. A sad recreation of today’s naive soul’s wildest dreams. The fancy attire was there, the prim decor present though thankfully a lack of pompous attitude. Carmilla swirled her cup and looked up at the display above. “Different from the real thing, dare I say.” A small comment, one might believe it to be about the glittering galaxies though in Carmilla’s mind the simple words tread much further.

It was impressive to say the least at how the fiddle footed brutes of this city were able to clean themselves up. Certainly fit the scene for such a formal occasion. It would be a crime not to pick from the spoils. That is, the lovely, eye-catchingly delicious ladies present. Two glasses of punch in hand, Carmilla glides over to the woman, flashes a charming grin and offers a drink. “Definitely a treat, this evening is. A woeful attempt of celebrating nature and it’s doing of what it must. Enjoying yourself?”

Of course had barged in again, but she had been expecting Laura to be there, too. Oh goodness, she had no idea how to act when it was just Carmilla. No matter. She cleared her throat, smoothed out her button-up, and settled on crossing her arms over her chest so she wouldn’t have to wonder what to do with her hands.

❝ T-there’s a little holiday…party happening in the lounge. ❞ She swallowed. ❝ Nothing…too wild. Just some gift exchanges, craft stations, brownies and other goodies — I made. ❞ She leaned forward to get a good look at what Carmilla was actually doing and spotted the parchment and beamed. ❝ But it looks like you’ve got your little craft station. Of course you can always join us…out in the lounge…❞

Hearing the shrill voice, Carmilla huffs in annoyance and locks her attention on the work in front of her, not giving her the time of day. That is until they feel the girl looming over her and she shoots death glares up at her, her body automatically arching over to cover the variety of laid out art supplies. “Personal space, curly locks.”

“There is nothing to see here.” She shifts around in her chair to face Perry, arm on top of the colored construction paper. Though there wasn’t much to hide since Carmilla could barely come to a decision on what she wanted to do. Nothing to see was damn right.
