Twenty-Six

I just turned 26. I now belong in the “late twenties” category – that thought is a tad depressing.

But life is good. I’m in between jobs. I woke up at 10am, and have been doing so most of the past week. I’m getting married next month. I worked on and sent out my wedding invitations. I planned our honeymoon. Google wished me a Happy Birthday. Social Media wished me a Happy Birthday. Friends posted, messaged, and whatsapped lovely birthday and advanced wedding well wishes. We met up with our wedding coordinator to sort out the wedding day logistics. We had a sumptuous buffet dinner at Lime, Parkroyal on Pickering, the hotel where we’ll be getting married. We sketched, tapped, heartbeat-ed each other on our snazzy new Apple Watches, a timely (pun intended) birthday gift from D. I spent time with my betrothed, reminiscing our engagement exactly one year ago, and anticipating the wedding and our married lives ahead. I played Minecraft and found so many diamond ores, other players thought I was cheating with x-ray vision.

Lime at Parkroyal

Dined at Lime, at the beautiful Parkroyal on Pickering (which is also where I’ll be getting married)! It was my sister’s birthday and we wanted to try somewhere new, and decided to recce this place since we’ll soon be pretty acquainted with it.

They served a whole array of Southeast Asian cuisine, with an obvious influence of Peranakan dishes. Lots of varieties, lots of meat choices; one of the most out of any buffet places I’ve been to thus far. My entire family was satiated with no complaints, which is pretty rare! 

And we’ll be back soon for our actual wedding food tasting. Oh wow time is moving too fast D:
