Jumping into the weekend be like... I used to be a avid hiker in my early 20s but that fell by the wayside as I became busy with life and work. It is hard to be motivated and consistent with your training when you live on a island where the highest point is a 162 metre hill 😂 Every time I hiked overseas is a big deal for me, even if is just conquering a Bukit Senaling for the first time. It is clearly not momentous as reaching Mountain Everest basecamp, but today a Bukit, but tomorrow a Gunung (eventually!). Who’s up for some adventure? 🙋🏻‍♀️🏔🏃🏻‍♀️🌲🧗🏻‍♀️ Initially I was nervous to embark on a trail less taken, and a technical hike no less. But once we are making away through the jungle, I started to become one with nature and all I can think of is how beautiful and wonderful all this is and how fortunate I am to be able to enjoy it right now. It didn’t really matter that we had to improvise our plans due to new regulations and had to go on our own to a different mossy forest, instead of hiring a guide as we had originally planned. We are lucky to receive great advice and blessings from the locals for our first ever jungle hike.
