Creatieve ateliers MUS-E

Leerlingen van het tweede en derde leerjaar Vrije Basisschool Parkschool stapten in een intensief artistiek traject. 

Naast wekelijks twee uur muzische vorming op school, elke woensdagvoormiddag, namen 20 leerlingen uit de naschoolse opvang in de namiddag deel aan creatieve ateliers. Daar leerden ze verschillende kunstdisciplines kennen. Ze gingen zelf ook aan de slag o.a. met kunstenaar Sophie Vanhomwegen met fotografie, video en audio. Op 11 juni waren vele werken te zien op een tentoonstelling tijdens festival SuperVlieg-SuperMouche, op de camping van MUS-E.

Watch how a man’s compassion turned the lives of many children. It started with his beautiful intention to help one boy selling things on the streets and grew to become an informal institution changing the lives of the poor. May Allah bless this wonderful soul. 

It just shows how one simple act can go a long way and how many people actually benefit from basic education. The simple ideas and innovation used to educate these children are simply amazing.
