Indulge in the delicious combination of juicy burger patties, fresh heirloom cherry tomatoes, and savory Parmesan cheese. This burger is a burst of flavor in every bite, with the sweet-tartness of tomatoes and the richness of Parmesan. Perfect for a summer cookout or any burger craving.
Ingredients: 4 burger patties beef, turkey, or plant-based. 4 burger buns. 1 cup heirloom cherry tomatoes, halved. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 lettuce leaves. 4 slices of red onion. 4 slices of provolone cheese optional. 4 tablespoons mayonnaise. 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard.
Instructions: Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready. Cut the heirloom cherry tomatoes in half and put them in a bowl. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix it up and set it aside. Add as much salt and pepper as you like to the burger patties. Put the burger patties on a grill or griddle that has been heated up. Cook until they are done the way you like them, flipping them once. Put a slice of provolone cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt it. You can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are just barely brown while the patties are cooking. Toast each bun in half and spread mayonnaise on the bottom half. Then, spread Dijon mustard on the top half. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun of each burger. Then add the cooked burger patty with or without provolone cheese, a large scoop of the Parmesan heirloom cherry tomato mixture, and a slice of red onion. Place the other half of the bun on top and serve right away. Have fun with your Parmesan Heirloom Cherry Tomato Burger!
