On one side of the #PlazaBotero/#ParqueBotero is the astonishing pile of the #PalacioDeLaCultura, built as the Department Governmental Palace 1925-29 & 1932-37 but then, unfinished, abandoned. It became a cultural centre in 1987, named after military hero Rafael Uribe Uribe. At one end of #PlazaBotero/#ParqueBotero is the colonial church of #LaVeracruz, 1682. Its altar came from Spain and its column capitals are so idiosyncratic that they might have come from a Hindu temple!
