Summery: Having finally recovered all seven of his emeralds, Chaos sets out to the domain of Solaris. Assuming only danger has befallen her, Chaos aims to demand the omnipotent entity tell him where to find his friend Tikal. However, having been absent for millennia, the Sun God sees this visit as a chance for all the order to finally meet and address their issues with the aquatic aggressor.
((In This Part: In the midst of the Sun and Water’s clash, a few onlookers offer their thoughts on the proceedings. Ifrit and Light Gaia somewhat reluctantly chat it up with each other.))
Part Length: short
"..." Looking on in a mixture of awe and disbelief, the burning bird found her legs and wings quivering in anger. She contained it only barely, after all she was above that cursed loose canon. But she couldn't quite keep her all feelings from showing. Her aura swarmed with thoughts, "...Insulting... This is Insulting...! Of all the lowly wrongings of late I have borne the brunt by far!"
Light's head swung away from his brother, who was still bleeding all over the ground by the way. After registering her words he stammered, "uhh... what's... wrong... with you now..?"
Ifrit's enormous wings flew open gesturing to the scene in front of them. Light didn't know how to respond. Frankly he didn't know anything about Chaos, or the situation at hand, or even Ifrit for that matter. The smaller of the Gaia twins wasn't really popular around these parts... "I... Don't... Uhh?"
"This is a crime! How can I be so under-appreciated?? How dare that disloyal little toad devote himself more to a bundle of disposable primitives than to me?? How could one even consider it?!?" Her voice held something that was more than just fury. She was bitter, sure, but it wasn't quite that shallow either.
Though he would have liked to continue to avoid this whole ordeal, Light was too considerate a person to brush aside an outburst. Particularly from Ifrit, she was never so forthcoming about her feelings, "You're mad because he cares about something else..?"
She continued her brooding and fuming, barking out only, "Everyone's sole concern should be me..." In response to the little pup. Obnoxiously, there didn't seem to be any sense of sarcasm in her inflections. That for sure turned Light off, thus they both sat in silence for a while longer. The Phoenix knelt to perch covering herself in a beautiful blazing flame. "He never grew so impassioned over me, nor even against me...! That is the worst misdoing I've seen of our kind yet."
Light Gaia sighed, knowing there wasn't much to come back with. He didn't really know nor care to know what the damage was between them, but out of some misplaced sense of pity he felt the Chip wasn't going to try, "Muh-maybe he just doesn't think you need his attention..? Since you're always so self-assured and all that stuff-"
"I am not the issue here; a quality runt like him should be honored to have even been considered my ornament. Plain and simple." And there was the Ifrit Light was familiar and a great deal uncomfortable with. At least she was back, now he could return to avoiding contact with everyone. Never-mind that her logic was horribly contrived and clearly just a cover up for what was a very deep rooted problem. He now had no reason to pay it any mind, that was until she made a final comment,
“Imagine if he had. -Had he cared about me even half as much as he should..! -Cared about anyone! We could have rid ourselves this incompetence! I’d be free, not subjected to such torturous gatherings. Free...”
It appeared Dark was making a recovery too, as shortly following they croaked, "what.. Ab...out... Mme...?..?"
"You are a nothing, and we all hate you plenty." The goddess's reply was blunt and cutting, "We just all at this moment hate Chaos more." With a smile and a wink she added a final, "Don't be jealous Dimmie, we'll get to talking up your shortcomings soon enough." In her usual delightfully cruel manner.
Unfortunately this pleasant conversation met its end with yet another incredible blast. Good lord Chaos' power seemed never ending. Solaris had once more dawned his constellations, pillars raining from above smiting down upon the God. While he wasn't unscathed this time, Chaos found his way through another storm from heaven and to his superior. Assuming his larger prefect form once more he wound himself around the other, detonating in one enormous blast. It was ludicrous, his attack lit up brighter than Solaris had ever been!
And when the light faded it was back to the step before. Solaris firing at random with no regard for his domain whatsoever, reasoning that hitting one of one-million shots was good enough; and Chaos countering by striking rarely, but decisively. With each hit one took they dealt to the other in full. Whatever had gotten into Chaos was damn powerful. Even aside from those two onlookers, the rest of the audience was astounded. Iblis in fact was only barely holding in their excitement, pestering their sibling for one of, "whatever Chaos wanted" so they too could, "blow up like that" Mephiles shot the other an estranged look, apparently under the impression that they could already do that. But he said nothing and stood watching the sparks fly.
