a place to write this down (paper, a tumblr post, evernote, microsoft word etc.)
a basic idea for a character

Today we’re going to be looking at the motivation behind your character. What makes them do the things they do? Your task is very simple. As before, simply answer the following questions, in as much detail as you possibly can. Really dig into their history for this task.
What is their primary motivation?
Their family? Love? Career? Revenge?
What is their secondary motivation?
This isn’t their leading motivator, but it’s something that pushes them to do what they do.
Why does this motivate them? What is it about this thing that makes them get out of bed in the morning and do the things they have to do.
Was there a defining moment in their life that gave them this motivation?
Why do they want to get revenge? Why are they so desperate to find love? Why do they want this career so badly?
What would their life be like if they weren’t motivated by this?
