My brother-in-law introduced my person to Dungeon Crawler Carl who introduced me to it. Partner wasn't much into it, but I am obsessed. Now whenever they have a call (brother-in-law and family are out of state), if I'm in the room I hijack the phonecall to geek out about DCC with BIL.

My partner schedules that into his calls now cause BIL and I say we won't do that next time, but we always do. 😬👼

My tio sent a message about lighting a candle and praying for safety in these times and I told my partner about how my tio's religious leanings confuse the hells out of me cause I can't tell if he's Catholic or protestant or whatever and my person just said "Maybe he's Catholic-lite? Like you 🥰"

Sir. What the hells is Catholic-lite??

Apparently it's "casual Protestant with a culturally Catholic flair"? Where I'm functionally Protestant but acknowledge and honor the saints and a handful of other Catholic practices, like a rosary.

Just thinking about the time my partner tenderly held my face in his hands, hit me with "Forget great works, I would commit sins, atrocities, in your name. Just say the word and I would raze the world to the ground and lay the smoldering remains at your feet." then just grabbed my hand and dragged me into Target for a snack run before we went back to his place to finish working on the new campaign he was prepping to run, like nothing happened.

The partner is mildly irked at me because he had to make a FFN account. Why did he have to make an account? To use the site functions to find some fanfics from 13 years ago he wanted me to read. So now I'm reading a multi-fic Fallout series and some Mass Effect fic he tells me is necessary reading.

Just found out my partner, who is the one who introduced me to actual fanfic back in ye olde days of FFN never made an account. Man was just freeballing it, saving links and keeping tabs eternally open and hoping for the best.
