CW: Mice

So @jonquilyst and I were chatting in comments about the problems at my supermarket, and while it wasn't in my store there was one in the chain a few years ago that had serious rodent problems...

This picture was spread in the news and like yes, ew yuck health crisis! But also, with the reflection in the mirror it looks like two mice are sitting there politely. Chilling and chatting to each other about the outfits of shoppers that pass by. I couldn't help but laugh. Photo source

We don't have a car so we rely on online order and delivery for the bulk of our grocery shopping. With each item you can tick whether you want to allow substitutions or not. In theory this would allow you to say, yes just make sure to deliver some bread but if you can't get this specific spread for it then leave it off the order. I say in theory because someone at the store who packs orders doesn't actually look at that... and makes odd substitutions for items we've said please don't substitute. Now I can get why in theory they would choose to pack a bag of fresh spinach as a substitute for a bag of frozen lumps of pre cut spinach- alas the bag had been filled a week ago according to the date on the packet and looking at it the spinach was clearly wilting and approaching slimy so my IBS says I ought not risk eating it. I mean I'm not sure what it was even still doing on the shelf in that condition... We got a refund but I am spinach- less until I can get to the store.

The weather site says we're apparently not freezing but I've been cold all day 😔 probably not helped by the fridge being weird and getting cold enough to start freezing things in it... It's very old and we adjusted the internal temp to the warmest setting so hopefully that helps, I never think of fridges breaking in a way that makes stuff too cold.

So I haven't timed how long it takes me to open my game since the update but I'm feeling like it takes longer to get to the main menu, but then less time to launch the save. Unsure if this will continue when I try get into saves which aren't in the top slot...

I mustered all my energy to back up and then update the game today. I was surprised how few mods needed updating, and I only ran into issues with the refreshed main menu so I switched to another version. Did I actually playtest? No because I didn't have energy 😂

Do we have to turn off auto saves in every save we're already playing in though? I'm never going to remember that 😔

"napped" this afternoon, by which I mean I was so tired I just had to lie down even though I didn't fall asleep. I think it helped though as I got a bit more energy afterwards.

I cannot express the joy I feel when this pink blob walks into frame, Jigglypuff is my comfort pokemon okay! Also, if I made cc pictures with pokemon in them would I have to keep them to myself? Because like if I did I'd want to share but I don't know if that would be like copyright infringement or something...

Okay so today I had fatigue from just being mentally busy yesterday so that was a fun thing to discover can happen (not, I'm being sarcastic, it was very annoying). Anyway before the worst hit I managed to queue up the last of arc three. There's a few days where it's one long post a day, then some days where it's back to normal because there's stuff I felt fits better in this arc than the next. Plus I'm going to do a time skip between arcs, not a big one, maybe somewhere from half a year to a year? Enough time to let the dust settle, like it had to after the end of the second arc.
