8/Rose Rec Post

I had a difficult time deciding what I was going to do this week. I actually had no clue until Monday when I thought I could do an 8/Rose Rec List.

I am a little late in the game when it comes to being an 8/Rose shipper in fact I really did not know much about 8 until the 50th anniversary. Before then I had only read one fic (which will be posted) that had 8/Rose.

After watching the little preview with Paul McGann (and would someone please explain to me why Steven Moffat thought he couldn’t pull off the 50th UGH) I was hooked I then watched his movie. I then had the absolute privilege of meeting Paul McGann (I may never be the same) It was after that I started searching wildly for 8/Rose fics.

Shades of Blue Cerulean (Adult)

If you have not read the Past Present and Future series first where have you been and second go read it NOW. This was the first 8/Rose Story I have read.  8 ends up in “Petes World”.  There is a lovely little prequel that explains this as well. Rose hearing the TARDIS runs to the sound of it and runs literally into him. This story is just so much, the Doctor starting to discover exactly what Rose means to him and Rose realizing that she would love the Doctor no matter the face.

Drawing a Future Together (Adult)

8/Rose Au with Jack. 8 and Rose meet at a party she draws him. What I love about this is all the little quips between them.  Rose and John are nerds and for those of us who are fellow nerds, all the little show references are a beautiful thing. Speaking of beautiful things the smut in this is very well done.

Battle in the Sky   (Adult)

This is the Time War as most of us imagined it. It starts of with Rose Caught in the middle of the parrellel Time War the story goes on to reveal just what has happened to her . This is AU because 8 ends up fighting in the time War.  The story is just so beautifully written, it will completely suck you in. I had actually read this in one sitting.

I have sadly not read the Celestial Love series (GASP I know) It seems interesting 8/rose UA where 8 meets rose instead of 9 and completely original stories sounds like my cup of tea.

This lovely short little story is Rose meeting the 8th Doctor on a trip. This is lovely tooth rotting Fluff.  I love Martha and Clara are a couple in this (and yes it actually makes sense) the interaction is just lovely.

So rose is married to 8 but runs into 9 and he remembers her because he doesn't know he's regenerated since being married to her?

Could be 9 or 10 or really any Doctor after 8. It’s basically a rehashing of Human Nature/Family of Blood with a twist. :)
