One of my biggest problems with dispatch is the fact that your two romance options are Someone Who Just Got Out Of A Relationship, and Someone I Thought Was A Straight Up Teenager Until Episode 4
Blonde Blazer just got out of a relationship, for one reason or another. Maybe it was Robert's fault, but if so it's still not ideal. I mean, she's so obviously rebounding it's not even funny. Not to mention that she comes on so incredibly strong despite being in a relationship already, and the fact that she's prejudiced against the team you're dispatching.
With how the writing portrayed Invisigal, I thought she was a straight up teenager. Maybe it's because I'm autistic and aromantic, but there was absolutely no romantic chemistry between her and Robert. There was more mentor/mentee and dare I say even father/daughter chemistry but nothing aside platonic. Yes, she made severely sexual jokes about Robert, but... that's just the immature thing that teens do. She sounds like a teen, she acts like a teen, she looks like a teen.
It just makes me so uncomfortable how these women are written. The only reason I prefer Invisigal over Blonde Blazer is because she at least has substance. She's got a little bit of personality — even if said personality is just "troubled teen".
