Hours together convulsing in your life
Dan Magers, from "Partyknife, Ohio Tour"
Coors 40, I bought you at seven-nineteen and at nine thirty-one you were gone, but your ghost lives on inside of me, infusing all my actions with what you always dreamed for me to accomplish.
-- Dan Magers, Partyknife
re-posting myself: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15TH
No apocalypse is the new no worries. To that end, Dan Magers, Brian Foley, David King, and Monica Wendel will read some poetry that'll help your brain lamp and recline, but still blow it into the rapture (amazin lineup--bios below). The enigmatic g gggjelloccio makes the christmas tree shine psychedelic (we trippy, mayne). Seriously, there'll be a proper christmas tree there. Jamison Brosseau and Chris Dunlap will bless the walls with their paintings. After the reading, Ponyhof (http://ponyhofmusic.com/) have some brilliant sonic skyrockets for everyone to ride. AND, for the dance floor, the universally-saluted Chances with Wolves (!!! http://chanceswithwolves.blogspot.com/) got that get right for the rest of the eve. Free prosecco, hot toddies, kegs of beer? No apocalypse, help yourself. I'd love to see you all. 245 Varet St, third floor Off the Morgan Ave L train Doors 8 PM Readings 9 PM SHARP Ponyhof 10:30 Chances with Wolves 11-12:30/1 $5 suggested donation (proceeds will be donated to help victims of hurricane sandy) Dan Magers’s first book of poems, Partyknife, is published by Birds, LLC. The idea of smoking pot to regulate my life is unraveling, so I need to make a necessary improvement. I am a nationally-known public speaker. Sexy like a Muppet, guzzling Diet Cokes like I was Bill Clinton, my blankness is the blankness of Reagan. Then I became hungry like a fat person. In preparation for Fucktime, I threw my bedding in the dryer that was defective and everything burned. My friend Rob said it smelled like skin. You know what it was? It was the beginning of tomorrow. And today is all your life will ever be.

Mercy Fuck, a Poem by Dan Magers
I’ve seen everything that’s funny on the internet.
Rockstar of masturbation and hot dog violence.
I serve everything I get. What comes in is entered out of pity.
Oh my god, it’s happening!
Thinking about the history of death metal, I realized I know nothing about death metal and had a panic attack.
I tried to mouth off to some people, and they just took it.
What a wimpy Halloween.

GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG
Here above is the book trailer for Dan Magers' Partyknife, which is out today from Birds LLC. And here below is a poem composed of words that a member of the old guard said to me tonight about one of my poems.
I SEEM TO ME A GOD —for D. Magers
I think the poem
is a system sometimes you say red
means go and you're not allowed to do that I'm looking
for you I stop somewhere waiting for you
to maximize the power
of the system from my point of view danniel I don't get
why you're hurting
your own poem in a system without it
Dan Magers debut book of poetry. The size of a 7" but enough poems to be an LP. This book needs to be yours. Hell, Thurston Moore even blurbed it.
