this is everything i wanted to happen with teen wolf after allison’s death. everything just feels so rushed with this time jump - character development, relationships with other, etc.

I totally agree, it does feel rushed. Again, I don't know if it was because of how Crystal left that they glossed past it, but it seems almost lazy for them not to have acknowledged it more. 'Oh, we don't want to dedicate time to this so we're just going to move a couple months ahead because obviously you can get past your feelings about the death of one of your best friends and your first love after a few months. It's not like when she was violently killed, or that she died in your arms proclaiming her love and affection for you or anything.' Sigh.
