Pass/Fail: LOCKE & KEY Adaptation
Pass/Fail: LOCKE & KEYÂ Adaptation
Welcome to another edition of Pass/Fail, where I take on the question of how well a comic/graphic novel is adapted for either large or small screen. Iâm not reviewing adaptations here (though opinion does sneak in from time to time); what I am doing is looking at how well either the spirit of the original property is explored or how well the writers/producers/actors/etc. literally lift theâĻ

Omg y'all I'm so excited because I'm a guest writer over on @pass.fail tomorrow!! Cant wait to share my fear of success which is somehow greater than my fear of failure. #passfail #badasswomen #Austinwoman #womeninbusiness #nofear https://www.instagram.com/p/BnHqMUUBdPl/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1nro8e0pk8pua
I am 2.9 points from graduating college. 2.9 points short in one single lecture class from passing with a C. I am already ready for the âif you just would have tried just a little bit harder, you would have passedâ speech.
You know what, professor sir, faculty, assistants and public in generalâI have been busting my ass to stay afloat since I was brought onto this earth, not screaming, chasing for air but alive. I have been fighting and scratching and clawing to graduate since 2007. I was initially going to graduate Cum Laude.
I wrote that man that totaled my car in 2010 thanking him for humbling me. Though he was simply a factor, the situation completely sidelined my initial ambitions. The accident and following issues drove me into the ground but it made me fight my way back up. I needed that. I told that man I would be walking across the stage this May. I was fighting.Â
I sat on the operation table in November 2004 confronting a simple truth of âfix me now, or just let me die on this operation tableâ. Iâm here. I have been fighting to stay afloat and seizure-free since. I do not use that mindset expecting people to fix my problems. I have fought, scratched and clawed beyond any barrier or boundary.
I do not live questioning âwhat ifâ or âI wish I would haveâ. It is always WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP? Iâm here, this sucks, what is my next step? How do I get out of this or how do I find the light in such a tough situation.Â
The odds are not against me but not with me. I am a female with a dominant personality in the workforce. I am a natural introvert. I have a sub par GPA but a sharp tongue and a stance that can prove otherwise.Â
I know what I have to offer. 2.9 points is nothing yet everything. 2.9 points.Â
