26.06.20 - Been feeling anxious and stressed these past few days, but trying to combat it by taking early morning walks with my dog and studying outside 🌳🌿🌼
Almost finishing 2020 with new goals on my mind.
A few days ago I completed my ACLS certification. I’m feeling more inspired about becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon and though I should use that inspo to motivate myself to crush USMLE Step 1 exam.
The year of my graduation will be a year of change. Among many things I wanna do starting January, here are some, just to have a record of them somewhere: *Learn a new surgical procedure every 1 or 2 weeks *Study a chapter from Schwartz general surgery book once a week *Review cardiology and pulmonology *Look for some research opportunity in cardiovascular surgery department in the hospital *Publish VR protocol *Prepare for USMLE And last but not least: Do exercise What do you want to achieve in 2021??
Effective October 20, 2020, the USMLE changed their Step 1 exams and practice materials. Read on for everything you need to know about the exam updates.
An update? Really? There was another update? Yup-date!
I must confess that I had most of my 2020 planned ( typically of type A me 😅) and that this year sort of sets the tone of the next chapter of my personal and professional life. But as any challenge we had in the past ( I'm considering to start sharing a bit more about that), I know that we'll get through this better and stronger by being productive. And to do so I reorganized my schedule so I'm officially starting my dedicated study for the USMLE Step 1.📚🙌🏻 Not gonna lie to you how afraid and anxious I'm feeling but staying in the comfort have never do good to anyone. If you guys have any experience, tips or are going through this path please let me know.🙈💙 #Medschool #medstudent #medlife #goals #2020 #womeninmedicine #USMLE #Step1 #FA (at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9-JWfzD4Cl/?igshid=nzvlse9s7y9t
I "slept in" today 😂....it's 6:15am. Surgery life is killing me just a tiny bit.
