Confused on something...

(( Not sure if Tumblr glitched or something as it shows I'm not following @passind anymore, not sure if I broke any of their rules or anything as I adored their posts and headcanons for Bartz as they were so Canon sounding and I wasn't claiming them or nothing.           “uhhhhh...”           zack’s a decent enough navigator when he’s calm enough to focus up, but the endless battles of late have him riled and subsequently struggling to string coherent thought together. he ventures a glance at their immediate surroundings: trees as far as the eye can see, sunlight barely clawing through the foliage to illuminate their way. the forest floor is riddled with branches and vines and crunchy with deadened leaves. it’d be a bad place to get attacked.           at least he’s not alone.           “all we can really do is keep goin’, right?” he suggests, a fraction less confidently than he’d like. soldier, keep on marchin’ on, huh? “or failing that, we just live here forever.”

It’s an apple juice box that he’d traded an elixir for with a moogle who’d been way too smug about the whole thing, but then again--Cloud hadn’t really given a damn. Just shrugged his shoulders and passed along what it had wanted. He’s asked Terra before about her tricks for keeping the fluffy little creatures happy, but they all still hate him no matter what, so--- he guesses his luck in this area just isn’t ever going to be any good. He’s not about to let anyone but Terra know this, however. 

He inclines his head toward Bartz when the kid asks after it, arms crossed over his head, feet light with the winds underneath him. He always seems like he’s about to drift away... 

Cloud blinks, coming back to himself, and bites down on the straw. What was happening...? Oh, yeah... 

“Loot drop from a mannikin,” he grumbles, silently enjoying how Bartz stumbles at the response. He shouts a “Wait, what?! Really!” as Cloud marches on ahead of him, finally letting his grin show once he’s sure the kid can’t see his face. 

“Hm, actually--” He stops, casting a glance over his shoulder. “It might have been from that earlier fight with your tree guy. What was his name, again? Exdeath? Him. Maybe.” 

He shrugs, and after a few seconds, finds a little bit of mercy, saying, “Alright, here. You can have the other. Catch!”
