Me, posting a sad Tenko & Touya tweet: they were just kids :/ they deserved better. Trauma appears differently on everyone. Look at their completely different break downs.
Someone: I have to disagree with you, don't compare Tenko to Touya- also we never see Enji physically or verbally abuse Touya-
Me, looking into the camera: never asked for your opinion, buddy. make your own post.
coming back from the dead to offer a friendly reminder:
don’t mock someone’s lack of activity on a blog meant to serve as a personal hobby, and then reel back and use the “it was a joke!!!” excuse when you inevitably piss off the owner of the blog with your bullshit.
“I don’t mean to mock it, I just wanted to laugh at it” is extremely shallow reasoning and it is very disingenuous.
and not well-meaning.
I'm seeing some folks pretty high up on their high horses about nott right now while in the same breath speaking positively about Essek, who, let's not forget, literally tortures people. And I mean I love Essek, but the mental gymnastics involved with that are simply WILD to me.
remember when disney animators did character studies? remember when they studied anatomy and movement and nonverbal communication cues to define characters, give depth, and pack a scene full of soul
hot take but
THATS PROBABLY WHY THE ORIGINALS WERE ICONIC. RATHER RELY ON THE DECISIONS MADE BY SOULLESS, TWITCHY CAPITALISTIC , MARKETING GURUS FROM THE THIRD CIRCLE OF TEXAS. THEY CAN’T SEE PAST THE MONEY SYMBOLS JAMMED IN THEIR EYESOCKETS.
DISNEY ANIMATORS COMPOSED RETELLING OF TIMELESS CLASSICS THROUGH 2-D ART AND TALENTED VOICE ACTING
my hackles get raised when I see "artists" steal or edit other people's original work and make it their own without even a mention to the originator. if you don't know the original artist/source, then add a blurb or tag stating that fact.
fyi: it's not hard to find out who made a piece of art (google reverse image search!) and some elbow grease will get you there. I just spent a half hour doing just that.
I'm passively aggressively posting this.
It doesn’t happen all the time, but I’ll say that punching a pillow really does help when a colleague makes you angry.
I can only know what I am told
I can only know my audience as well as what they tell me. I can't avoid a boundary I don't know about. The boundary that cut me off this time, it is not clear to me, and so it's not my fault.
I keep coming back again and again to: I didn't start this. I'm happy to take responsibility for my part. But the other party? It doesn't feel like they are taking responsibility for their part. I didn't want this and I didn't start this. I wasn't going to confess my love. But when he said, I love you, and made what seemed like promises of friendship no matter what... and then couldn't define even the most basic of a new order to the friendship when prompted... and so broke those promises.
What did he do, just read my words once and think he understood it? Can't reread it. Won't reread it. Has made an assumption and then has done worse: has made a decision based on an assumption.
Well. He may never be sorry enough. Might never feel sorry enough or say it enough. Me either.
