This weekend I made a passive amplifier for my phone (my wife's phone is shown, because I took the picture with my phone). The phone mounts horizontally so it can be used for either music or video. The maple has some nice curl which is why I probably saved this bit of scrap wood. I'm not an audio engineer, but it noticeably improves the sound quality.
