Proposal
Before all of my current research (after assessment 1) I began to brainstorm ideas branch off the notion of glitching within our personal lives. Truthfully I didn’t want to dig too far in my past but it seems as if to provide a complete statement and experience that producing a work off my past and emotional past was the best way to both engage and create a complete work piece. This idea was not complete and the reason why it was never brought to class but the more thought and care put into the photos and memories selected will provide a personal and dear artwork. In photography the “wow” factor is usually provided by the subject of each particular image and should always consist of a background, mid ground and foreground focus. I guess with my new direction I’ll be the focus. My own experiences, context and story. Presenting my past will be difficult and emotional during class and I’m hoping that it goes well. With my documentation I could go through masses of reblogs, research and external influences but I’ve decided (as seen through the tone) to keep it personal so both my artwork, presentation and documentation has a voice. Like a real blog..this is going through my WHOLE process not just the research. (wtf..actually getting really emotional writing this) There will be unedited images presented on my tumblr page from now and going through my life experiences in replacement of hardcore research of the glitching topic because I feel as if my concept in hand is already rather complex and enough for me to continue with this journey.
