What are you using for mrcp?

I’m using Passmedicine and Pastest online question banks - I’m glad I’ve got both because each of them ask questions in slightly different ways and each cover some things the other doesn’t. Also, passmed has a ‘knowledge tutor’ where you can quickly test yourself on the facts/basics, and pastest has ‘mock papers’ that you can do, plus some teaching videos, so altogether I feel like I’ve got a lot between them. 

I basically go through the questions and for questions I get wrong, I write down the stuff I didn’t know, and that’s how I’ve been making my notes. x

please do let us know which is better, pastest or passmed!

I will do! It’s too early to tell at the moment, and I don’t want to be biased because I’ve only used pastest before. They both have fairly similar formats for the questions but so far I think pastest has more on diagnosis, and passmedicine has more on treatment, so hopefully they’ll work well together. 

When I’ve used them more I’ll definitely give a more detailed review! x

Do you recommend passtest for 2nd year onwards, or mainly finals? Thanks

Hey! So I didn’t personally use it until end of 3rd year, so I can’t comment that much. But I guess it depends on your course - I think if yours is a mixed course then yes. But if yours is a science/clinical split it probably wouldn’t be helpful until your clinical years, as it’s mainly clinical questions.

It has the option to choose which specialties to be tested on, so even if you haven’t done all the modules yet it can still be useful :) x

Heyy :) Is there any reliable resource from which you practice questions before a big exam? Mind if you share? I miss past papers lol

Omg I really miss past papers too :( 

There aren’t many tbh, but I used Pastest last term to practise for the written exams, and I found it very helpful. I think a 6 month subscription is £40, which seems like a lot but as I found it more helpful than most books, which are similarly priced, I think it was worth it. And I shared the subscription with my boyfriend so it was only 20 each :)
