As soon as Rey heard word that confidential files were hidden in secret spaces in this very building, she’d been faced with the extreme urge to take action. Sitting still was not her area of expertise, and it was hard to focus on anything going on or being said when she kept thinking of what she could possibly find. If she were able to locate the headquarters...stars, she’d be the saving grace of the Resistance. Not that she wanted it for the recognition, not at all - she wanted them to win this fight. And determination was one of Rey’s strongest traits - whether that would be beneficial or not was still to be determined.
So finally she’d snuck out discreetly from the main hall and to the corridors of the capitol, carefully making her way around and examining each door and space she came across. Most were irrelevant, empty of anything useful to her, but she eventually found a few doors that remained locked. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Rey began to sort through her brain for any possible solutions, maybe even a way to pick the locks. But then she felt a strange sensation in her mind - the feeling of being watched. A familiar presence. At first, she thought he might have followed her, and she let out a quick gasp of panic as soon as her eyes met his. But then she realized it...he wasn’t physically here. Once again, the force had decided to intervene, for the first time in ages. Immediately, she jumped back in shock, her eyes wide with nerves. “...How did you do that? How...are you doing this?”
