a loud shriek escaped her as she sat up, chills covered her body despite there being a layer of sweat coating her skin. the typically stoic woman was now shaking in fear over what had just happened. another nightmare. kaiden’s screams seemed louder this time and that child’s face was clearer than the first time she had this nightmare. it was usually the same one. she couldn’t even remember the last time she slept well.
normally, she would run to kylo for comfort but not tonight. she needed to get out of headquarters. carefully, she dressed herself in her loosest robes, lacing up her boots with difficulty as her heart tried to calm down. the woman was slipping her lightsaber onto her belt when she caught glimpse of the silver comlink on her side table. a smile naturally made its way onto her lips as she thought about the curly headed pilot. it had been a few days after the gala and she definitely had kept thinking about him.
seylsa had gone back and forth on whether or not to call him or even when so she had devoted extra time to training to avoid calling him. however, she wondered if his humor was a needed comfort at this moment and she had been itching to see him again. her hand reached out and soon the device was in her hand, ready for use. she felt nervous and couldn’t help worrying about what was going to happen.
clearing her throat, she carefully turned it on, hoping she wasn’t making a fool of herself. “flyboy? a-are you awake?” @happybeepsbuddy
