What I really love in Geezerflakes's unused scenes is when Brain says nobody else fitted his intelligence or something, and there's Pinky behind him who's aggressively pointing at himself like "I WAS THERE ALL ALONG AND WE FIT PERFECTLY". He looks like he feels so insulted 😅

YEA I thought that was so funny jdkjdkjjdl Like ok maybe he doesn't match Brain's intelligence or whatever but he's like Brain. I am RIGHT HERE. Brain what the FUCK. It's kind of like in the comics when Brain didn't want people to know that Pinky was Romy's dad because politics and homophobia and Pinky was so PISSED because it's just not fair or right and I imagine that same sort of indignant rage here.

Actually, I was talking to friends about this and it came up how it would be an interesting angle if he were upset because Brain made VR Julia to be this perfect housewife, and if we're going by the episode Pinky's Dreamhouse that is exactly what Pinky has always wanted and he's so hurt and perplexed that Brain would put someone else in that role.

I mean really he's a natural and Julia....isn't. This version of Julia isn't even her. She's literally built to be a career woman, VR Julia isn't "what may have been". It's Brain once again twisting her into something that suits him. The only role she actually fulfils that Pinky doesn't is the idea of heteronormativity. Which is interesting in this situation because he wasn't trying to put up a façade for other people this time, this was only for himself.

Isn't it the first time ever that Brain (pretends to be) married with someone outside of a plan? I mean he did show romantic interest for Billie and that other one in that black and white episode, but when it comes to wedding, the old series had Brain pretend he's married to Pinky who pretends he's a lady, so that Brain can look like a candidate/neighbor with a good life and who can be trustworthy. In the reboot he did it for the first time with another mouse, Julia, which would have been enough to make Pinky jealous. But now Brain did that not for the appearances for a plan, but as a secret for himself. That would be enough to break me down if I were Pinky...

Oh, yea. I guess the closest thing is when he tried to run off with that one girl in The Third Mouse, but he was too focused on the world to maintain that relationship anyway. He's certainly never had a secret double life where he was married just for funsies before. Even on a purely friendship level of course Pinky would feel hurt by Brain keeping this secret from him. So I do think they should have kept a bit more of his overt jealousy from the storyboard. Pinky is capable of feelings of selfishness and jealousy and anger. He's not that way very often but it does happen. (The first example that comes to mind is during the Brainwashed trilogy when Brain loses his memories Pinky takes the opportunity to lie to Brain and trick him into doing things he wouldn't normally do. He very quickly feels guilty about this, but it goes to show even an aggressively selfless character like Pinky has his moments)

And it's just very clear that S3 was building romantic tension between them, sometimes painting them as an established couple, so yea...how could he be anything but upset by it? It would have been nice to actually explore that a little instead of defaulting to more "Haha I'm Pinky and I am sooo going to mess this up on accident 🤪. I have no feelings about this or anything ever haha narf." I mean, it wasn't awful. I didn't think it was a terrible episode. But seeing how much more interesting it could have been kinda sucks.

With the end of the latest Julia episode. How would you have gone forward?

I don't know because the way her storyline was playing out in general is not how I would have done things at all. I feel like the writers completely did not consider the events of the first episode when writing the second two. But I guess I would want her and Brain to finally end their pseudo-relationship and for her to pull a Snowball and try to separate Pinky from Brain. Though, with different motives than Snowball because he was all about taking things from Brain just for funsies (based) and Julia would do so out of actual concern for Pinky. I'm still so disappointed her standing up to Brain saying "I don't like the way you treat Pinky" never led anywhere. Brain would then have to prove to Pinky that he does care about him, ect and it would be a good arc :<

And you know what else is great about simulation? You can make multiple simulations of the same person interacting with each other and you, all at once.
