So..... yesterday I found out my sons teacher of three years is leaving 😱😭😭😭. The boy is going up to secondary this year so I was making her a quilt anyway (got a bit distracted by #agtriangleswapuk2018 and #getyourquiltywishesgrantedsummereditionuk 😂) as a well deserved end of term present 🎁. But now the teacher is returning to her home country, So the importance of this present has dramatically increased!!!! So while listening to her talk a phrase came up "team work makes the dream work". They all use this at school...... and I haven't backed the quilt yet. So..... yep 👍 I'm expanding the project to include #paperpieced letters. I think the heat has scrambled my brain. It's going to be a tight dead line. Wish me luck!!!! "Sloppy craft" is the prompt today for the #septtextilelove challenge by @seam_collective I had to do some googling for this one as the "sloppy" got me confused as it is not a word I would like to use for my work as to me it springs "doesn't care" to mind. I suppose some slow stitching techniques using unfinished edges could be regarded as "sloppy craft" although I prefer "Rustic". Anyway, perhaps people think my improv patchwork can be regarded as "sloppy craft" as there is no planning and the fabric is just stitched together with no other thought than the colours work together, there is a mix of kids fabrics, recycled, pre loved, different textures, types and just out and out scraps sewn together, quilted and then cut out to make a bag of whatever shape I feel like at the time! #sloppycraft #septtextilelove2022 #patchworkandquilting #improv #improvquilting #madeincornwall https://www.instagram.com/p/CiZybe4scMS/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Finished on Friday listed today in my Folksy shop can't believe how speedy at listing I am getting! It won't last as usually things like the light is bad to take photos, devices need charging and then the light has gone for photos, someone sat in my photo studio! Following on from yesterday, the waistcoats only need their poppers but I did finish the larger size bib. Again this bib is reversible and I have added extra poppers so the neck size can be varied, this one is suitable for a bigger baby. A colcha é de retalhos. O bloco escolhido é o "ninepatch desappear" (nove quadrados unidos e desconstruídos), portanto tem muita informação de tecidos, do jeito que sempre quis 😻 e por isso escolhi um design simples e leve para o quilting (acolchoamento).
