Shinsou + Desk Lamp

Shinsou has a hard time opening up to people. You understand for the most part. Seeing as he’s been regarded as a threat his entire life, you assume being perpetually suspicious of everyone’s motives sort of comes with the territory. But you like him enough to stick around. Even if he treats you more like a furnishing than a partner at times.

You get the feeling, quite often, that he sees you as a convenient source of affection, of reassurance when he wants it. And when he doesn’t, you fade away into the patterned wallpaper of his agency’s office. When night falls, he turns you on when he needs to see himself again, in a better light. He lets the glow of your eyes roam his chest and cheeks until they’re alight with a blush that spreads down his throat for you to kiss.

But when the sun rises and he’s no longer blinded by creeping thoughts in the dark, he turns you off again. Leaves you to sit perched on his desk, just another decoration until he can find a use for you.

He’s lucky you like him so much.

No I kid that sounds too arrogant. But my general defense mechanism was always to beef myself up and now it’s just turned into a really inflated ego mixed with a lot of imposter syndrome. I like my confidence, I suppose would be a good answer. Even when it’s very misplaced.
