Puppy Mylo

We have a new addition to our little family - a puppy! It was kind of an impulse-long-time-coming type of buy. Since I have been in this house (a little over a year now), I have been petitioning for a puppy. There are many benefits of having a dog I said over and over. Realistically, it was never the right time. I was working stupid hours, poor puppy would have been in alone quite a lot of the time and we were not in the financial situation to pay for vet bills, food, toys etc. But since Hubby has gotten a new job, which pays more and is only five minutes down the road - unlike the 25miles he has to travel just now - it seemed time to re-evaluate. Our original idea was move  house, closer to church but after looking at what seemed like thousands of houses in different areas we couldn't agree. The area wasn't right, the bathroom was downstairs (this may not seem so bad, but you come back and tell me that when you are literally freezing your bottom off in the middle of winter!). I came up with a compromise, we stay put, save money for a house deposit and get a dog. Hubby agreed (you almost had to pick me up off the floor! Don't get me wrong, he isn't some puppy grinch, he has allergies and was afraid puppy would set them off again). So within a week of agreeing, I came across a breeder with eight Patterdale pups, contacted them, almost maxed out the credit card in Pets at Home, went to see the puppy and came home with him on the same day! Yes, impulse buy but one that was a long time coming. Now Mylo has made himself very much at home and we couldn't envisage not having him. He is a bundle of fun who loves falling asleep mid snuggle.
