☁️I once again terribly miss the cosy vibes and relaxing atmosphere of one of my favourite casual games: Pathologic.
And so! I, 25+, am looking for another 25+ writer for a roleplay set either during canon or post the diurnal ending.
My poison of choice is Burakhovsky (Artemy Burakh x Daniil Dankovsky).
As mentioned above I'd be up for writing a canon timeline or post-canon, AUs would probably need some convincing me, but are not entirely off the table either.
I tend to pick and choose details and events from any of the game's installments, so someone who likes to play around that way as well would be ideal. I'll also be transparent, it's been a hot minute since I actually played through or watched a full playthrough of any of the games, something which I am planning to remedy asap, but in the meantime I may need a refresher on some specifics here and there.
I'd like to write as Daniil.
As for writing specifics:
I'm looking for something a little more casual, around 200+ to 500 words per reply. Longer is fine here and there, but I'm burnt out on novella length replies at the moment.
I write in 3rd person only and have a strong preference for present tense. I'd like for my partner to match that. I can't follow very flowery writing styles well, metaphors and symbolism are fun, but too many tire me out.
Themes I enjoy are conflict, hurt/comfort, in general dark and gritty. Smut is cool, but if that's what you're primarily looking for, I'm not the partner for you.
Depending on how life is going I can be slow with in-character replies. With what I described above, I'd usually aim for once a week, sometimes I'll be able to offer more, sometimes less. I'll return any patience afforded to me.
An OOC connection is important to me, I'm not expecting or even looking for instant friendship, but I need some back and forth, about what we're writing, maybe chatting about the games and characters. I just don't enjoy silent exchanging of in-character replies without knowing where we stand.
I usually prefer roleplaying and chatting on Discord (no tupper!), but in light of recent developments I'm open to alternatives (I have Telegram, but open to suggestions - just no email, gdocs or anything public). My time zone is GMT+1. I tend to be available at odd hours, but I would like to write with someone in a time zone close to mine.
Before we really sink our teeth into a plot I'd like to discuss no-go topics and triggers. I'd also prefer to exchange writing samples to see if we vibe style-wise.
Leave a like if you are interested! I'll be messaging from my roleplay blog and will not be reaching out to any empty blogs.
