Power or Control

Sorry I've been a bit inactive here for the past couple of days. I started a Molly Hooper rp blog and since it's so new, I've been trying to get it started. If you want to follow/see what I'm doing, here is the blog.

Three years, four months since Sherlock had last set foot in Bart's; it seemed a momentous occasion to return.

He considered briefly, as he crossed the threshold to the elevator and pressed the button to the desired floor, that maybe he should have called first. That likely would have been far stranger than just arriving unannounced, though.

St Bartholomew's had barely changed in his absence. The familiarity was somewhat disconcerting, like this one place forgot to move on like the rest of the world had. Whether Molly had was a more interesting thing to consider.

She was, as almost every time he'd ever seen her, in the morgue. Sherlock was surprised as the tiny smile that appeared at the corners of his mouth as she  came into view, her utter selflessness when he'd needed herthena fond memory, despite the flurry of associations.

Sherlock opened the door slowly, not wanting to startle her unnecessarily, although he wasn't sure at what point he'd started to care about such things. The rooftop, probably. A lot of things changed that day.

"Septic shock; nasty way to go," he commented, his eyes flicking from the corpse on the slab to Molly's face as she turned around. It was as good a greeting as any.
